In the News - March 2012

Good News
YAY! Heaps of cute baby animals born this month :) However, I have just 2 babies that I want to introduce to you. They are the cutest out of the whole pack! So I hope you really like them :D

March 20th: Meet Linford and Christie! A pair of orphaned Burrowing Owlets who are now under the 24-hour care of keeper, Jimmy Robinson, who works at Longleat Safari Park in Wiltshire.  Since they have to follow Jimmy around everywhere, they taken a liking to all the nooks and crannies of his apartment.

March 29th: The Cango Wildlife Ranch is South Africa has welcomed a new face. A Baby boy Pygmy Hippo was born and they named him Harry after Prince Harry of Wales for his love and passion for Africa and its wildlife. Harry was a healthy 5.1kg when he was born. Unfortunately, his mother was not able to provide him with milk the decision to pull the calf from his mother was made.

This is Definitely good news for the Ranch as Pygmy Hippos are critically endangered, with only about 3000 individuals in the wild.

Bad News
Well I don't have much to say that if you like these cute little baby animals, please support these species showing your support for zoos, wildlife sanctuaries, non-profit organisations and government organisations that support these species. It is really sad for me to hear that there are only 3000 pygmy hippos in the wild! Imagine if there were only 3000 humans on the planet? A lot of things would go wrong and surely, we would die out ourselves. No matter how smart we are.

So please, help these animals out so that our children's children will be able to experience and see for themselves, how beautiful these animals truly are.

On another note, I hope everyone has a great easter :) God bless you all!
